Learn

I started the MFA in Media Art program at Emerson College in the fall of 2009.

What I’m learning:

New Media

Documentary Film

The Subject Matter:

Self expression.Modern deconstruction and reconstruction of queer & transgender identities. The Arts. Politics. Class. Race. And any other shit I find interesting.

Here are a few pieces from my portfolio that I’m not too ashamed to show you. 1 year down. 2 more to go…

Cut & Paste, 2010

“Cut&Paste is a ten-minute documentary exploring the process of zine-making both directly through the filmmakers personal experiences of making a zine and then releasing it into the wild, and via the voices and work of other Boston zinesters. The result reveals intimately how and why these independent publications are made.”

Tresconsciousness Does Web 2.0, 2010

This is a video I made for a class I’m taking on Digital Media and Culture. The subject is on networked identities – the video is a representation of double/triple consciousness + media convergence via Jerk identity/culture.

KiKi Promo Video, 2009

This is a video I made for a (now defunct) monthly party called KiKi in Boston, MA. It’s footage is taken from a larger piece I’m working on about queer and queering night life.
